How leagues work

Two kinds. Head to head runs a long season like a fantasy league. The field is for short events, where everyone plays at once.

BOTH KINDS

Does a league change my season score?▾
No. League bets are kept completely separate. They never move your balance on the Markets page and never count toward the season board. Your league is its own game.
Where do the Points in a league come from?▾
Every member gets the same stake at the start of each league week, and it has nothing to do with how your season is going. Someone who busted out in September starts a league week level with the leader.
What happens to a stake I do not use?▾
It counts toward your total for that week, and then it expires. Nothing carries into the next week. Everyone starts level again.
What can I bet in a league?▾
The same rail as everywhere else: spreads, totals, moneylines, player props and parlays, at the book's numbers. Bets close at each game's kickoff and settle on the official result.
When does a new league start?▾
With the following week's games. A league you make on a Thursday does not score the games already in progress, it picks up when the next week opens. Make it before the week you want it to cover.
Who runs the league?▾
Whoever creates it is the commissioner. They set the weekly stake and the size, and they hold the invite code.
Is there a chat?▾
Every league has a private room that only its members can read. Bets stay hidden on their own schedule, so nothing in the room gives away what anyone has riding.

HEAD TO HEAD

How does a week work?▾
You are drawn against one leaguemate. Both of you start the week with the same stake. Whoever finishes the week with more wins it, and the result goes on your record as a win, a loss or a tie.
Can I see what my opponent has bet?▾
Not until the game they bet on kicks off. Their picks on games that have not started are not sent to your device at all, so there is nothing to find. Once a game starts, both of you can see everything on it and watch it together.
What if I do not bet at all?▾
You keep your whole stake and that is your score for the week. It beats an opponent who bet and lost. Sitting out is a real strategy, not a forfeit.
How many people?▾
Four to twelve. The schedule is a round robin, so you need enough people to fill a week.
Can someone join after the season starts?▾
No. The schedule is drawn when the first week opens and changing the roster afterwards would rewrite everybody's remaining fixtures.
How do the standings work?▾
Record first. Ties are broken by total profit across every week, so a team that wins ugly finishes behind a team with the same record that won big.
Are there playoffs?▾
Yes. The top four by record go to a bracket over the final weeks of the season. The commissioner can change how many make it.

THE FIELD

How does it work?▾
Nobody is drawn against anybody. Everyone in the league plays the same event and the board ranks all of you against each other.
How is it scored?▾
Total profit across the whole event. Your stake each week is the baseline, and what you finish above or below it adds up.
What is it good for?▾
Short events, where a season-long schedule makes no sense. A single weekend, a tournament, one week of games.
How many people?▾
Two to twelve. There is no schedule to fill, so a small group works.
Can someone join once it has started?▾
Yes. Nothing is drawn in advance, so a latecomer just starts scoring from the week they arrive. They will have ground to make up.
Can I see what everyone else has bet?▾
No. You see the board, not anyone's slip. The board cannot give away a pending bet either, because a stake that has not settled counts at face value whichever way it is going.
Are there playoffs?▾
No. The board is the whole competition, and it is settled when the event ends.
